A WOOLMER Hill Year 9 student has won the prestigious 2019 UKRI Rutherford Appleton Laboratory school science prize.
Angus won an iPad mini for his 500-word essay on Why I love Science and has been invited back this year to repeat his presentation on the theme at the finals and to judge next year’s competition.
He said: “Science relates to everything I do in some way. Through the knowledge I have of the subject, I have been able to improve in so many areas of my life.
“I am still shocked that I won but very happy and grateful to Dr Elliott, Woolmer Hill and my family for their support.”
