THE Royal School's younger girls enjoyed a hands-on Nativity play last week, as Miller's Ark added a touch of authenticity to the festivities.
The 'Sleep Shepherd' told the traditional story from the viewpoint of a shepherd who fell asleep every time he counted his flock.
And to the delight of the children, and the audience, Miller's Ark brought along donkeys and sheep for the outside stable.
Family and friends joined pupils from the school's pre-prep, nursery and daycare departments for the performance.
Pre-prep girls filled the traditional nativity roles, while nursery girls sparkled as stars and daycare girls filled in as extra sheep.
