A MACHINE from New Zealand, used for collecting horse manure, is being sold in Bordon.

Town woman Anne Miller, founder of Field Groomer Ltd, saw the machine in action while travelling in the southern hemisphere.

“I spend an awful lot of my time collecting horse droppings from my paddocks,” she said. “When I saw the PaddockGroomer in action I realised that it was the perfect answer to the problem.”

Ms Miller obtained the exclusive rights for the UK and Ireland from the machine’s designer and has started importing them.

The British Horse Society recommends the frequent removal of horse droppings from grazing land to reduce parasites and improve pasture as horse droppings are notoriously acidic, she said.

Until now, removal has relied on a person with a wheelbarrow, which is time consuming, or using an expensive powered cleaner. PaddockGroomer is both fast and affordable, Ms Miller said.

“The PaddockGroomer is simple, lightweight, affordable and can be towed behind any type of vehicle,” she added.

“We are happy to demonstrate it anywhere.”
