RUGBY players from Annie Jones in Petersfield have been toasting Pub Sevens success.

The team from the Lavant Street restaurant and bar took top honours by overwhelming The White Horse from Southsea 45-19 in the final of the premier competition, the Pub Sevens Cup.

And the trophy appropriately “came home” in the 20th running of the popular Pub Sevens competition hosted by Petersfield Rugby Club at Penns Place.

Teams from The George, The Folly Wine Bar and The Black Sheep also represented Petersfield while players competed on behalf of The Queen’s Head in Sheet and The Flying Bull in Rake, and The Thomas Lord at East Meon.
