PATIENTS and the public are invited to join representatives from NHS North East Hampshire and Farnham Clinical Commissioning Group at its annual meeting next week.

The clinical commissioning group is responsible for planning, funding and monitoring the majority of NHS services provided in north-east Hampshire and Farnham, working with public, private and voluntary sector partners to ensure the area’s 220,000 people have the healthcare services they need.

The meeting, at the Harlington in Fleet next Wednesday, September 14, is an opportunity for the area’s residents to find out how the clinical commissioning group has performed in the past year and how it plans to meet the needs of the community in the future.

Dr Andy Whitfield, clinical chairman of the group, said: “Throughout the year our staff are working hard in many different healthcare areas to put in place the best possible services we can for local people across north-east Hampshire and Farnham.

“As part of this we work closely with members of the public so that their valuable experiences and views help to shape these services to make them more appropriate for local needs.

“We hope that residents from across the area will join us at our annual meeting to learn more about who we are, both as an organisation and as individuals, and what we do.”

The meeting starts at 6.30pm and anyone who wishes to attend the meeting or has a question they would like considered should e-mail [email protected].
