THE much-loved Tilford Environmental Playscheme will be returning for it’s 22nd year this summer.
Running from July 23 to August 3 at the picturesque Tilford Institute, the not-for-profit playscheme, run by an experienced team of play-workers and organised by local mums, provides a fun, safe and stimulating experience for children aged five to 10.
The scheme offers an exciting schedule that includes themed forest days, visiting specialists, sports activities, science and craft sessions.
This year established favourites will be returning such as Forest Fun days with Zoe and Vicki, including woodland craft, bushtucker trials, forest cooking and smores by the campfire, as well as Mad Science with balloon and quick sand experiments plus super stretchy putty.
Later in the week, children can make music with the Rock & Pop Foundation, and the playscheme will also be welcoming back some furry and feathered visitors from the Hydestile Animal Hospital.
In addition, there are some exciting activities new for 2018, including a day of Awesome Archaeology, with fossil hunting, archaeological poo excavation and the chance to build an Egyptian shield, while Team Tilford giving youngsters a chance to work in teams to build a fort, take part in team challenges and games followed by an afternoon Nerf tournament.
It’s A Knockout is another new addition this year with obstacle courses and maybe a water fight.
