NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch is expanding in Alton.

They will be set up in the Wootey's, Eastbrooke and Westbrooke areas.

The aim is to encourage the community to share information relating to crime and crime prevention advice, to cut crime and anti-social behaviour.

Renewed impetus in Neighbourhood Watch was triggered in Alton when representatives from the scheme, with officers from Alton police, spoke with the public shopping at Sainsbury's and interest was registered in setting up 18 schemes.
