A large house opposite Farnham Castle could be replaced with a block of nine apartments.
Plans to build a two-and-a-half storey apartment block on the Fox Hollow site on Castle Hill have been submitted to Waverley Borough Council.
The applicants insist the block will not be visible from the road with a mix of 7 three-bedroom properties and a pair of two-bedroom apartments proposed.
Agents Michael Conoley Associates believe a precedent has been set as the adjacent Kingsdown development has a comparable size and scale.
They’ve also reminded planners that Waverley Borough Council is currently unable to meet a five-year housing supply so the benefits of the proposal outweigh any potential harm.
