TRAFFIC police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic incident in Standford Lane, Standford, on Monday night .
A silver "E" registered Vauxhall Senator left the road at around 11 pm and collided with a tree outside Jersey Cottage.
The driver, a 37-year-old man, and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman, who are both from the Bordon area, were trapped and seriously injured.
Emergency services attended the incident and the pair were released from the car at 12-11 am on Tuesday by firefighters from Bordon and Liphook.
Both were taken by ambulance to Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
Police told The Herald that the man is in a serious, but stable, condition with a collapsed lung and a smashed leg. The woman has a broken wrist, knee damage and possible internal injuries.
