THE Blackmoor Estate's annual apple-tasting day - which was not held last year following the deaths of two workers in February - took place on Sunday and was "well attended", according to the estate's managing director, William Wolmer.

Scott Cain, 23, from Whitehill, and Ashley Clarke, 24, from Liss, died at the farm in February 2013. It was decided that it would be inappropriate to hold an apple-tasting day in the same year.

Former farm manager Andrew Stocker, age 56 and from Bordon, is accused of two counts of manslaughter through gross negligence and is set to appear at Winchester Crown Court for a plea and management hearing on October 30.

The company, Blackmoor Estate Ltd, also faces a Health And Safety At Work charge.
