FORMER Surrey Police detective Peter Foster, who is accused of murdering his partner, will appear in court early next month.

The 35 year old from West Street, Haslemere, is due to enter a plea at Lewes Crown Court, on April 4.

He is charged with the murder of Surrey Police detective Heather Cooper, who was killed by a blow to the head and a stab wound to the throat last October.

The 33-year-old woman's body was found in Blackdown Woods near Lurgashall in the early hours of October 17.
