Are water meters on their way?

COMPULSORY water metering looks set to come to Alton if the Government agrees a plan which would see 90 per cent of all households metered by the year 2020.

Metering forms part of a long-term Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP), put forward by South East Water as the fairest way to charge for water use.
