ART lovers have a unique opportunity this week to view a pop-up exhibition, brought to Alton by illustrator and university art lecturer Paul Bowman, of the work he has done during a 30-year career.
Staged in a temporarily empty shop on Market Street, courtesy of owner John Ormond, this is a colourful, lively exhibition by a husband and father who, at the age of 54, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer but wants to make the most of the time he has left.
Keen to encourage talented young artists in particular to follow his lead by persuading owners to let them use empty premises to display their work, after covering his framing costs Paul will give the profits from his exhibition to Cancer Research.
Paul’s pop-up exhibition is open from 11am-1pm and from 2pm-4pm each day, up to and including Saturday.
