PUTTING down roots at a Grayshott farm shop is an acclaimed artist who has moved her art studio on site.

Alison Orchard (pictured) has relocated to Applegarth Farm and can be seen painting and developing her largescale landscapes and seascapes from her studio space outside the restaurant.

Her popular art classes also now take place in the Creative Cabin at Applegarth, which is fast becoming a hub of creativity, with additional workshops organised by Make UK.

Alison enjoys painting “in the fresh air” and capturing the changing colours of the surrounding landscapes and her work has a growing following with paintings exhibited at London’s Royal College of Art and at various art fairs, with exhibitions in south-east England, London, Guernsey, and Portugal.

She was recently selected as one of 20 international artists to be chosen as a golden artist educator and in 2012 was nominated for annual inclusion in Who’s Who in Art.
