TWELVE Witley houses had to be evacuated and sealed following the disturbance of asbestos while work was carried out inside the homes last week.
Heating contractors were working on the gas central heating systems for Waverley Borough Council at the council-owned properties in Middlemarch when they accidentally disturbed flue-ducting and insulating boards containing asbestos.
