A PLEA for ASDA to wait until Bordon's eco-town is built so it can put a flagship store in the future new town square has come from Carl Tantum, the retiring secretary of the Forest Centre Association.
Aware of the town council's disappointment that Asda did not get permission, from the district council, to build a superstore at Viking Park, he said the supermarket giant could appeal against the decision.
He told the Bordon Herald: "If Asda had got permission, the Forest Centre would have had to close down with the loss of 180 jobs."
