ASPIRING young soldiers from the Farnborough Military Preparation College showed off their skills to family and local VIPs at a special presentation day in Aldershot.
Around 60 teenage learners visited the base of the Royal Army Physical Training Corps for the college’s awards ceremony.
Guests were treated to a gymnastics performance by the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, as well as parade, drill, physical training and log display sessions by students from the Military Preparation College.
Combining military-style physical training with vocational instruction and personal development, the Military Preparation College helps young people develop fitness, confidence and employment skills.
Since its foundation in 1999, the training organisation has enabled over 2,000 young men and women to enlist in the Armed Forces, and helped over 4,000 others to explore further employment education and training opportunities.
