AN East Tisted farmer has been singled out by the NFU for outstanding service to British agriculture.
David Bowtell from Home Farm near Alton is one of two farmers in the south east region to receive the prestigious NFU President's Award 2000. A Southampton-based dairy farmer won in the 'Farming Ambassador' section while David led the field in the 'Food from the Countryside' category.
