BRITISH Aerospace has withdrawn its application for a Lawful Development Certificate regarding the validity of its 1951 planning permission.

The company is claiming that it would have caused "undue delay" in determining the future of the Dunsfold Aerodrome site.

The application was lodged with Waverley Borough Council last year after questions were raised regarding the site's permanence and been the subject of an ongoing legal investigation.
