MILFORD residents have been treated to a new play and fitness area on the recreation ground, designed to keep all ages “trim”.

Witley Parish Council has installed a new trim trail on Jubilee Field and is appealing to supporters of the facility to put it forward as a winner in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme.

Parish council clerk Sarah Nash said: “The majority of this project has been funded by Witley Parish Council, but thanks go to Peter Martin, our Surrey county councillor, who also kindly donated £750 from his member’s allocation for the project.

“Residents will be pleased to learn Witley Parish Council has also been successful in its application for financial support from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative to help pay for this project.”

“Witley Parish Council’s Jubilee Field Trim Trail project will now go forward with two other local projects to a vote in Tesco stores from today (Friday) until Tuesday, April 30. The project with the highest number of votes will receive £4,000, with £2,000 going to the second-placed recipient and £1,000 for the project in third place. Please support Witley Parish Council by voting for this scheme.”
