FARNHAM Lion Pam Quilter delivered 43 kilos of unwanted spectacles to the Lions’ recycling centre in Chichester on Saturday, September 1.

The spectacles are collected from local opticians, doctors, hospitals and from individual members of the public.

The Lions’ ‘SpecTrek’ campaign has been running for many years in communities all over the world.

The spectacles are collected, every part is recycled and redistributed to those with impaired sight in third world countries.

Prior to this delivery, more than 300,000 pairs of unwanted specs had already been collected by the SpecTrek team in the Farnham community.
