FRIENDS and families of Bushy Leaze Nursery and Sure Start Children and Families Centre in Alton released balloons in support of a threatened children's centre.

The balloon launch coincided with similar events at their sister centres at Haven in Gosport and Lanterns in Winchester amid Government plans to close or merge such centres.
