Sir, – For the last three weeks, nightly in Farnham, there has been a continuous series of explosions from dusk until 10 or 11 pm; or sometimes even after midnight.
Fireworks have become a serious nuisance. Peace-loving citizens should be able to sit in their homes or if they wish go to bed without enduring this barrage. It is time for a legal limit on the loudness of fireworks and on the hours of night and time of year when they can be detonated.
