A BAND of “outlaws, desperadoes, soldiers of fortune, and a soprano cruelly denied the West End break she so richly deserved” will take to the stage at Farnham Rugby Club next week to raise funds for the club’s rugby minis tour.

Farnham-based rock band Band On The Rum, consisting of Alastair ;Sergeant Rock;’ Harris, Al ‘Captain Birdseye’ Bird, Pete ‘Party-Hearty Karate Kid’ Morris, Paul ‘Doctor Strange’ Redman and Tricia ‘Mimi’ Dufay, will perform the charity gig on Friday, March 3, in aid of Farnham Minis’ ‘Safari’ tour of Devon.

Doors will open at 7pm on the night, with an optional curry served at 7.30pm and the band taking to the stage at 8.45pm. Tickets, costing £20 including food or £10 for the band only (admittance from 8.30pm), are available online at www.eventbrite.co.uk.
