A CONCERT which was held to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, and to celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force, has raised around £1,200 for Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

The cheque was presented to the leader of Rushmoor Borough Council, David Clifford, on behalf of the charity, which supports young people who have lost a parent while serving in the British Army.

It is part of a running total of around £11,700 raised in aid of various Army charities by The Royal Army Service Corps/Royal Corps of Transport Association Concert Band.

The band was set up in 2008 by Roger Sanders and Steven Ambler, and members from across the nation come together every two years to perform.
