THE future of Bass Brewers hangs precariously in the balance this week following confirmation that the DTi is to back a UK Competition Commission recommendation to block its takeover by Interbrew.
While the news has plunged workers at Alton's Bass brewery into an unknown future, Interbrew is clearly reeling from the shock.
