ALTON'S Bass brewery could call time on 21 years of local brewing tradition as talks continue over a deal which could raise more than £2.2 million.
One of the town's biggest employers, with a staff of 128, a company spokesman has stressed that if the brewery business is sold, local job cuts will be unlikely.
