RESIDENTS of Headley, Grayshott and Bramshott are being urged to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries in the area.

The plea comes after burglaries at four properties in Headley Hill Road, Grayshott Road and Beech Hill in Headley Down, in which items including cement mixers and garden machinery were stolen.

Inspector Gerry Thorne said: "We now believe that the offenders may be visiting the premises in the daytime offering services and then returning in the evening.

"I would urge anyone living in Headley, Grayshott, Bramshott and the surrounding areas to report any strange activities to the police immediately."

Anyone with any information should contact Whitehill police on 0845 045 45 45.
