CALLING all beer enthusiasts... The Swan Inn, Haslemere will be selling a wide selection of beers from both the UK and Europe during a two-week festival. Beers on offer at the pub will include six award winners, seven beers not brewed prior to 2007, fruit, coriander, ginger and organic beers as well as foreign varieties. All the beers on sale during the festival which runs from April 23-May 7, will be priced £1.69 a pint. Customers will be able to enjoy the beers in special third-of-a-pint glasses, which will be available for the first time. The beers on sale will include Mauldons 'Cuckoo' (from Suffolk), Jennings "Snecklifter' (from Cumbria), Sharps 'Doom Bar' (from Cornwall), Caledonian 'Top Banana' (from Edinburgh), Elgoods 'Black Dog' (from Cambridgeshire), Highgate 'Highland Whisky Ale' (from the West Midlands), Brakspear's 'Organic' (from Oxfordshire) as well as Anker 'Gouden Carolus Ambrio' (from Belgium) and St Georgenbrau 'Keller Bier' (from Germany). In addition, to celebrate the first day of the festival, St George's Day, the pub will serve Manns 'St George and the Dragon Ale' (from Wiltshire). Manager at the Swan Inn, Jeremy Bath, said: "The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of beers, which are not normally available in the area. "Customers will also be able to buy the beers, using our third-of-a-pint glasses, which I believe will be popular." Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the Haslemere High Street pub.
