LAST year, for the 40th Farnham Beerex, with the support of Phil Alexander and Mike Andrew a collection of all past Beerex programmes was assembled to be displayed at Beerex and preserved as part of the Beerex archive.
However, one was missing - the original 1977 programme from the first ever Beerex.
But now Jeff Sechiari, chairman of the Brewery History Society, has donated his original 1977 programme to the archive. Jeff, who has been a CAMRA member since 1974, served at the first Beerex plus many others since and is a regular visitor.
Jeff saw the display of programmes at the 40th Beerex in 2016 and was sure that he had an original 1977 programme, if only he could find it.
It took a house move to the Isle of Wight to uncover the programme which Jeff has donated to the archive for safe keeping.
The Beerex committee is keen to keep expanding the Beerex archive and welcome further examples of Beerex memorabilia either as donations or on short term loan as Trevor Warner kindly did in 2016.
