COUNTY councillor Peter Andreae threw the cat among the pigeons last week by suggesting that Bentley would be a more suitable location for future large scale development than Four Marks.
While Bentley has the existing infrastructure, in terms of road and rail access, shops and school, Four Marks was not sustainable in a transport sense, said Mr Andreae, warning that if the housing target suggested by John Prescott's response to the Crow Report was to be met in Hampshire, it would mean a lot of building on greenfield sites.
