CHRISTIAN Aid Week will be launched with a ‘Big Brekkie’ at the Liphook Church Centre this weekend.

The Christian Aid coffee morning is due to be held between 10am and noon at the centre, off Portsmouth Road, on Saturday, May 13.

The focus is on refugees - with house-to-house collections taking place between Sunday, May 14 and Saturday, May 20.

British churches founded Christian Aid in 1945 to support refugees who had lost their homes and possessions in the Second World War.

Twelve years later, Christian Aid Week was launched to help fund this ongoing work. For more information visit www.cristianaid.org.uk.
