THOUSANDS of Waverley residents have contributed to a consultation on plans to build up to 8500 new homes across the borough over the next decade and a half.

Feedback forms are being received at a rate of around 100 per day in response to Waverley Borough Council's consultation on its new Local Plan, adding up to more than 2,000 forms so far.

The council's mobile exhibition trailer has also attracted a lot of interest, with more than 1,600 people visiting the roaming exhibition - including 368 visitors in Farnham.

And the trailer made its last scheduled tour on Wednesday visiting Tilford, Frensham and Churt ahead of the deadline for comments today.
