BUILDING on the huge success of last year's inaugural Farnham Pilgrim Marathon, Farnham Weyside Rotary Club drew even more entries this year to their event at The Sands on Sunday.

Around 800 runners completed the challenging course in either the marathon or half-marathon category. There were ideal conditions for the earliest finishers, but a downpour for those further down the field.

The event has resulted in tens of thousands of pounds being raised for various charities including the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Sportability.
