BINSTED and Blacknest turned out in force on Tuesday evening to protest against a plan to create a fishing lake and seven semi-detached log cabins (14 units), with new vehicular access at Broad View Farm, Blacknest Road, on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Called in by the South Downs National Park Authority, the application by resident Jim Cullen was considered 'major' enough by the national park authority to have a "significant effect" on the purposes for which the park is designated.
