BIRDWORLD’S Conservation Evening in aid of SANCCOB (Southern African National Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) was a roaring success with more than 130 visitors.

Those present were treated to informal keeper talks about threatened species, outdoor games, ‘Meet a Penguin’ sessions, a tug of war and a variety of stalls.

The evening raised more than £1,200 which will be used to help SANCCOB once again with its chick appeal as well as other conservation initiatives supported by Birdworld.

And now the park is holding an online auction in aid of SANCCOB. There are plenty of prizes to be won from a thrilling racing car circuit experience at Thruxton Racecourse to a variety of bumper value ticket packs to other attractions.
