FIRE crews were called to a blaze at a house in Boyneswood Road, Medstead, on Saturday morning but were unable to save the life of the elderly occupant.
Eric Innocent (70) is thought to have died from smoke inhalation when fire broke out in the kitchen of his home, Hunter's Moon. There were no smoke detectors on the premises.
