HASLEMERE residents who say their homes have been blighted by a car repairs and paint spray workshop are hoping Waverley planners will impose more stringent conditions.
Katz Auto Services, in Critchmere Lane, has submitted a twin-tracked retrospective planning application for a replacement extension to its car body workshop and a replacement extractor flue system.
In support of its application, which had triggered more than 30 objections by Wednesday, the company claimed it has "improved the odour, noise and cleanliness of the site in general with much safer working practices".
But members of the Critchmere Trust Residents' Association have objected claiming the works have become much noisier since the family-run business took over the premises.
