BOHUNT School has scooped another prestigious award, receiving a massive cash boost of £32,520 from the government's School Achievement Scheme.
Staff, pupils, and governors at the Liphook school were celebrating this week after being singled out by the government for the award, which celebrates outstanding exam results, for the second year running.
Education Minister David Miliband praised the hard work and dedication of staff at the school in a letter which was received by headteacher Alan Taylor Bennett. The letter went on to commend the quality of leadership at the school, and stated that it had achieved better results than most other schools in similar circumstances.
Mr Miliband commented that the awards celebrate the work of the entire school community including classroom assistants, teachers, bursars, and dinner ladies.
"Success in schools depends on each and every member of staff working together to raise standards," Mr Miliband added.
Mr Taylor Bennett said he was thrilled that Bohunt has received the award for the second year running.
"I am delighted that our brilliant staff are recognised for all that they do. I am very proud of their achievements and the wonderful exam results they help our pupils to achieve. This is a highly prestigious award," said Mr Taylor Bennett. HD20-163-03
