A PROVIDER of care at home aims to be ‘Bold in Blue’ in support of multiple sclerosis.
Bluebird Care Hook is taking part in the awareness drive in aid of national charity the MS Trust. It is helping put the spotlight on multiple sclerosis, a neurological condition that affects one in every 100,000 people – or roughly one in 600 in the UK.
It attacks the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, and is a lifelong condition. The include fatigue, stumbling, unusual sensations in the skin, slowed thinking and problems with eyesight.
Phil Miles, director of Bluebird Care Hook, said: “We at Bluebird Care Hook are very happy to support the MS Trust. We will Be Bold in Blue and we hope that as many people as possible get involved with supporting this important campaign.”
The Be Bold in Blue campaign encourages supporters to hold bake sales at work or school, dinner parties with friends or family, and will include a blue-themed quiz at a pub or club in the town.
Bluebird Care Hook offers a realistic alternative to residential care by allowing people to stay in their own homes with care and support. The work can involve one or more short visits a day in order to help with the everyday tasks of life.
