FARNHAM and Wey Valley Cats Protection was delighted to receive a cheque for £1,000 from The Downing Street Charity Shop in Farnham.

Cat Protection volunteer Sue Millward said: “This amazing sum will be put to good use in helping us continue to rescue needy cats and kittens throughout the local area. We are also hoping to try to raise money to buy a new cat pen.

“The branch is operated totally by volunteers, covering many roles from homing, welfare, fundraising, home visiting and fostering- our cats are fostered by individuals in their own homes. We are so grateful for such a generous donation.
