THE news campaigners across the South Downs had been waiting 60 years for came at last as the Environment Minister decided to create the South Downs National Park, include Petersfield, Liss and parts of Liphook.

More than half a century in the making, Tuesday's decision means the South Downs will become England's 10th and the UK's 15th national park.
