LITTLE Vintage Interiors, on Market Street, Alton, will feature on the BBC1 programme Money for Nothing tomorrow.
The show is presented by Sarah Moore, who searches for items of furniture, discarded as ‘junk’ and gives them a makeover. They are then put up for sale and the money handed back to the original owner.
For Jackie Parker, who specialises in personalised hand-finished refurbished furniture and selective home interior products, the show provided an unexpected step into the limelight.
Last year, she was approached by the producers of Money for Nothing and asked if she would take a Victorian hall cabinet with mirror, restored and hand painted by Sarah Moore.
Jackie agreed and on December 21 the camera crew arrived with Sarah and filmed a sequence which will appear as part of next Tuesday’s show.
The cabinet, which is for sale, is currently on show in Little Vintage Interiors.
The programme is due to air at 3.45pm tomorrow.
