THE former president of Liphook Bowls Club, who raped a married grandmother and frightened her into silence by threatening to expose her affair with another man, is facing a lengthy jail sentence.

Leslie Black, 69, from Liphook – who told his terrified victim he had hired private detectives to watch her every move – was remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports after being found guilty on Wednesday by a jury of one offence of rape.
