A FIFTEEN-year-old school boy from Whitehill is recovering after a life-saving operation on a serious head injury following an incident that is alleged to have taken place on Wednesday, May 18.
It is believed that a group of Mill Chase pupils were celebrating their last day of school before the start of their GCSE examinations when trouble broke out between them and some young soldiers near the skate park in Bordon.
An MOD spokesperson said: "MOD police can confirm that they have received a complaint of assault from a teenage boy which is said to have occurred at an MOD sports field in Budds Lane, Bordon, on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 18.
"The assault is reported to have happened during an incident of disorder involving a group of young soldiers playing football and some local teenagers.
"A police investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing at this time."
