TERRY Brown has to decide whether to play Paul Moody against Hitchin Town at the Rec on Saturday.
The big striker, laid low recently by a virus, came safely through 90 minutes in a cup match this week.
Moody, in fact, scored twice as Aldershot trounced the Army side, Arborfield Garrison, 7-0 in the Aldershot Senior Cup.
"I don't know if I will play him," admitted Brown on Wednesday. "I have a decision to make. He's certainly in the frame to be in the squad."
The manager confirmed that Stafford Browne will definitely start on Saturday after his hard-running performance against Purfleet. "The question is who plays alongside him?"
Roscoe D'Sane is the main candidate, but with Moody, Lee Charles, Jamie Taylor and Michael Harper all pressing their claim, Aldershot are spoilt for choice.
Ben Walshe and Matthew Langston, the players brought in on loan to help Aldershot negotiate a tough schedule over Christmas and the new year, will also play against Hitchin, said Brown.
A strong Aldershot side made short work of their Army opponents on Tuesday. Moody and Taylor both scored twice and Harper, Luke Walker and Mark Richards got one apiece.
John Nutter and Jason Cousins lined up alongside promising youngsters Lee Champion and Brett Cooper in defence. Martin Kuhl and Lee Holsgrove provided the experience in midfield.
Aldershot have been drawn at home to Eastleigh in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup, date to be announced.
Expect a bumper crowd at the Recreation Ground if Matt Le Tissier, who occasionally turns out for the Jewson Wessex League high-fliers, plays on the night.
