THE owner of an Alton hotel has hit back at critics by attempting to clarify some of the issues raised by objectors to a proposal to build in the grounds.

Hollybourne Developments Limited has submitted a planning application to build two detached three-storey blocks of six flats (12 in total) in the grounds of the Alton House Hotel in Normandy Street.
