FOOTBALL team The Royal Oak Vets FC, from their namesake pub in Hollywater, received a boost at the end of a successful season with sponsorship from Barratt Homes.

The team - which is made up entirely of former armed-forces personnel - play at Bordon’s Mill Chase Recreation Ground.

Leicestershire-based Barratt Homes is building somes of the 500 new homes (those in the New Quarter) at Louisburg Barracks in the north of Bordon.

“We’re creating a brand new selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes in this popular semi-rural local location, on the site of the former Louisburg Barracks,” said Barratt sales director Michelle Storer.

“The first houses will soon be complete here.

“As part of the local community, we’re keen to support local clubs wherever possible, and we feel it very apt to provide The Royal Oak Vets FC with sponsorship. On behalf of Barratt, I’d like to wish the team every success for the coming season.”
