Farnham completed the double over Chessington & Hook and kept their first clean sheet since beating the same opponents at the Memorial Ground back in early November.

Having a player sent off eight minutes into the second half on Saturday seemed only to inspire Farnham.

In a poor first half, Town kicked up the slope on a heavy and uneven pitch. Controlled football was difficult, leading to many passes going astray and very few scoring chances being made.

However, both teams could have taken the lead right at the start. Farnham's Alan Morgan brought a good save from Fletcher and, at the other end, Dow forced Chris Edmonds into a smart stop.

The game then settled into a midfield stalemate, although, as half-time approached, Farnham began to threaten again through the long-range shooting of Graeme Miles and Morgan.

In the second half, the strength-sapping surface took its toll on both sides and, as a result, the game began to open up.

It seemed that Farnham had been dealt a fatal blow when Ben Williams was sent off for deliberately handling a goalbound effort from Morrison.

However, Edmonds pulled off yet another vital save from Wood's resulting penalty kick and Town had another let-off when Duffel headed against the crossbar from a corner.

The visitors were also denied by the woodwork, Miles hitting the outside of the post from a Matt Edwards free-kick. But then a three-goal salvo settled the game in dramatic style.

On 76 minutes, after some some good work on the right, Morgan cut the ball back for Miles to shoot from the edge of the area. Fletcher could only parry the drive and Town substitute Ben Cooper was first to react to the loose ball, scoring from close range.

Four minutes later, the busy Cooper won possession and sent Miles through to fire an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Miles headed against the post, but Farnham's 10 men would not be denied a third goal and, in injury time, Edwards' free-kick deflected off the defensive wall and fell kindly for Miles to poach his second goal.

Farnham: Edmonds, Brooks (Snowdon), Moore, J Blake, Decicco, Edwards, Hatton, Hooper (Cooper), Miles, Morgan, Williams. Sub (not used) Nunn.

Chessington & H: Fletcher, Head (Daniels), Prosper (Woodford), McCarthy, Wicks, Everett, Duffel, Morrison (Fry), Wood, Dow, Demianow.

Farnham Reserves lost 2-0 to Hartley Wintney.

This Saturday, Farnham are home to Withdean 2000.

Alan Morgan scored all three goals as Farnham made it three successive wins by beating bottom side Cranleigh 3-0 on Tuesday night.

It was also a third double in a row, with Farnham proving much too good for Cranleigh who have mustered just eight points this season.

Town soon took the lead when Morgan headed home the rebound after Cameron had parried Graeme Miles' shot.

Another poacher's goal by Morgan made it 2-0 on 18 minutes and Farnham completed the scoring just before half-time. Chris Snowden's cross was only partially saved and Morgan volleyed home his third.
