BUPA UK has been accused of causing unnecessary distress to elderly residents by "prematurely" announcing plans to demolish Crispins and Loadhams care home in Farnham.

The private healthcare provider plans to knock down the Waverley Lane nursing home and replace it with a purpose built 54-bed facility by the end of 2011.
